St. Patrick’s Day is this weekend so many will be out late Saturday into Sunday celebrating at local establishments like Buckeye Family pizzeria, which is hosting a party for the holiday.
Today’s edition is also meant to mark the holiday because it is the every popular Shamrock Edition. A lucky reader will be rewarded with $25 if they guess the correct number of shamrocks, so fill out the form on page 6A and put your name in to win.
This weekend will also mark the first day we are adding a 13th page to our E-Edition. The page will have additional pictures from stories we covered, as well as photos we simply did not have room to run throughout the week.
The idea came from the newsroom realizing it gathers more content than we publish daily so we want to test the idea and get feedback from readers to see if this would fit in the printed edition as well. Subscribers can access the electronic version of the newspaper at no additional charge by making sure their email is on file with the circulation manager.
Readers of our E-Edition may also have noticed that virtually every page of the electronic version is presented in full color, including obituary photos and all sports photos.
As we continue to look forward, we will also continue to upgrade coverage where we can, like we did in Plain City. That new page, printed every Wednesday, has had very positive response and showed how a small community appreciates having both sides of their local issues being reported.
Those local issue are what we have covered for the past 170 years and this newspaper will always raise our hand in public meetings and ask tough questions so the residents of the this county can feel safe that someone is looking over how their tax dollars are spent.
