Kent State University
Several area students were placed on the dean’s and president’s lists for the spring 2018 semester at Kent State University.
Those who made it to the dean’s list from Marysville are Logan Carper, Kassidi Davisson, Lauren Hampton and Fallyn Stephen. Johanna Stimmel was named to the president’s list.
Kiersten McMahon, of Richwood, was placed on the president’s list.
These students represent the 8,071 full time students who achieved a grade point average of at least 3.4, and have completed 12 or more credit hours, as well as the 1,173 part time students.
The 1,077 students on the president’s list had achieved a 4.0 grade point average and completed 15 or more credit hours.
Mount Vernon Nazarene University
A Plain City resident has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Madelyn Alene Johnston, of Plain City, is majoring in social work and psychology. A 2016 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School, she was able to earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 or above, as well as attend a minimum of 12 credit hours worth of classes, for the semester. She is the daughter of Chris and Janet Johnston of Plain City.
The university is a private, four-year, intentionally Christian teaching university for traditional age students, graduate students and working adults. The university offers an education to more than 2,200 students from 32 states and 19 countries and U.S. territories.
