Student competes in state spelling bee


Ann Connolly, a fifth grade student at Trinity Lutheran School in Marysville, recently competed for an opportunity to attend the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. The state bee was held at the Scripps School of Communication at Ohio University in Athens on March 23. Ann was the winner of the Trinity Spelling Bee and qualified online to be one of the state competitors. Ann, one of 51 Ohio students who qualified for the state competition, was knocked out in the second round. She is the daughter of John and Pam Connolly.
