During this past spring break, 18 Marysville students got up early and took a flight to Madrid, Spain. We spent a week living with host families in Segovia and then traveled to Granada, Córdoba, Nerja, and Toledo. The experience was a once in a lifetime trip. We went on this trip expecting to make friends but came out with family. The memories, the food we ate, the experiences we gained, and the hospitality we received was unforgettable. We saw astonishing castles that were older than America like the Alcázar, ancient technology like the aqueducts, and beautiful sights in nature such as the beaches in Nerja.
