Dear Editor,
Many people in Union County do not know about the community theater group, SILVER SCENE PLAYERS, a group of folks with a love of theater. They have been producing plays for several years with performances at the Veterans Auditorium on Sixth Street in Marysville.
The unique thing about this group is the proceeds from each performance go to a local charity. This season, the beneficiary is The Military Families of Union County.
There will be three performances of the upcoming play “The Red Velvet Cake War” presented Friday, March 31, at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m., and a 2 p.m. matinée performance on Sunday, April 2.
We have been attending the Silver Scene Players performances for several years now and have enjoyed every one of them.
Where else can one enjoy a play with family and friends and help the community at the same time? The professional acting is by gifted members of our area. Many long hours of practice and rehearsals go into their productions and it surely shows.
This is a top-notch community theatre group everyone needs to discover and support, as they so generously support many Union County charities.
Tickets will be available through the SILVER SCENE website and at the box office before each performance.
