Teachers and staff at the new Abraham Depp Elementary School in Plain City are preparing to welcome students into the building beginning next week. Depp is Dublin City School District’s new elementary school in the Jerome Village housing development. The building, nearly 83,000 square feet, has capacity for about 650 students. Principal Troy Ersham said about 200 students have opted for remote learning through at least the first semester. Students in the Dublin District have already begun online learning. Hybrid orientation, meaning about one-quarter of students will be in the building at any one time, begins next week. The district anticipates going to the full hybrid option, with about half the students in the building at a time, beginning Sept. 21.
