Members of American Legion Unit Post #79 recently conducted their annual American flag disposal ceremony. The purpose of the ceremony is to dispose of tattered, worn-out and unserviceable American flags with the utmost dignity and respect. Post #79 commander Mel Cantrell presided over the gathering of community observers, legion members, and Civil Air Patrol cadets. Shown at right, Post #79, members Bruce Ward, left, and David K.
