Marysville Police arrested a Marion man after a brief chase this weekend.
According to Marysville Deputy Police Chief Tony Brooks, police received a report of a white Jeep speeding on U.S. 33 Saturday at 1:08 p.m. Brooks said officers reported speeds of 100 miles per hour.
Police signaled the Jeep, driven by Roger Addison, Jr., 35, of Marion, to stop. Addison then led authorities on a chase up Route 4 before stopping at Wolford-Maskill Road.
Brooks said Addison tried to throw drugs out the car window during the chase. Brooks wasn’t able to confirm what drug it was, but said it may have been marijuana.
Addison was arrested and is being held at the Tri-County Regional Jail on a charge of failure to comply with a police officer’s signal and a warrant out of Marion County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office assisted officers in the chase.
