A Tennessee woman, wanted for attempted murder was arrested Sunday morning in Union County.
Angela Diane Hudson of Elizabethton, Tennessee, was driving a vehicle that was stopped on U.S. 33 near mile post 14 in Union County.
A trooper with the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle defect, after observing the vehicle to have one functional headlight.
According to police reports, Hudson provided false information to the trooper regarding her identity. A deputy with the Union County Sheriff’s Office deployed a drug detection canine and a positive alert was returned.
During a probable cause search, Ms. Hudson was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
During the course of the traffic stop, the female driver was positively identified by the officers on scene.
Hudson was found to have a felony warrant for attempted murder in Carter County, Tennessee.
She was later incarcerated at Tri-County Regional Jail pending extradition.
