A drug investigation spanning several weeks has led to the indictment of several men allegedly involved in the trafficking of methamphetamines.
The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Ryan Joseph Jones, Javory Dean Stookey, Jacob T. Miller and Daniel C. Smith.
Assistant Union County Prosecutor Rick Rodger said that using confidential informants, the Union County Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement Task Force was able to identify the men as potential drug dealers. The task force was able to use the informants to orchestrate a series of drug buys between April and May.
Rodger said the alleged buys occurred at a series of locations around Marysville. Because at least one of the alleged buys occurred near Trinity Lutheran Church, some of the charges have been enhanced. Rodger said that each of the men were present for some of the buys, but none were present for all of them and none of the buys had all four men.
“These are not big-time buyers,” Rodger said.
