A Lima woman is behind bars and a man is still at large after a pursuit Sunday evening.
According to Sheriff’s Office reports, at 11:24 p.m a deputy attempted to stop a 2006 Chevrolet Monti Carlo driven by Tasha L. Martin, 33, of Lima on U.S. 33 near U.S. 42 for driving out of marked lanes. The vehicle reportedly fled east on U.S. 33.
The pursuit went to I-270 south and exited at Tuttle Crossing Boulevard, where Martin, exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Authorities caught Martin and charged her with failure to comply with the order of a police officer, driving under suspension and reckless operation.
A passenger also fled and was not found. Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Tom Morgan said Martin has not given the passengers name.
She was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail.
During the search of the vehicle, an “unknown quantity of drugs” was found, according to Morgan. The drugs are being tested.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Columbus Police Department and the Franklin county Sheriff’s Office.
The incident remains under investigation.
