A robbery went south for a man who tried holding up a local drug store this morning.
Police responded to a robbery in progress at the CVS on West Fifth Street today at about 10 a.m. Marysville Police Department Deputy Chief Tony Brooks said when officers arrived on the scene, they found the suspect, Ian John Keller, 24, of Woodstock, toward the back of the store with a bandana over his face and hood.
Officers ordered him to the ground and took him into custody “without incident.”
He was found to have two firearms. He reportedly approached the counter and implied he had a gun.
Brooks said the man was by himself and that authorities found his vehicle in the area.
After a search of the vehicle, authorities do not believe there are any other individuals involved.
As of 10:15 a.m., Marysville officers had the store secured and were directing people away.
