First responders were called to two separate accidents which occurred a few hundred feet apart within 15 minutes of each other on U.S. 36 Wednesday. According to Marysville Police Department reports, a black 2005 Chevy Equinox, driven by Alonzo Byrd, 31, of Delaware, rear-ended a red 2010 Ford Escape, driven by Aaron McCombs, 43, of Milford Center, near the Wendy’s on U.S. 36 at 11:09 a.m. Byrd was cited for driving without a license and failure to pay reinstatement fees and also faces charges for failing to make child support payments. McCombs was transported to Memorial Hospital after the crash. While the wreckage of the first crash was being cleared from the roadway, a truck owned by Pony Lawncare and Landscaping, pictured above, reportedly hit a patch of ice in the area and slid into a ditch at 11:24 a.m. Units from the Marysville Police Department and the Marysville Fire Department responded to the crashes. Further information was not available at press time.
