Union County deputies are investigating a domestic argument on Woodstock Road in Union Township that sent a woman to the hospital.
According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call at about 2:04 a.m. today about a possible domestic dispute. Deputies arrived at the home and found it ransacked with bloodstains throughout the first floor.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department and troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol initiated a search. The suspect, whose name was unavailable, and alleged victim were found in a vehicle near the intersection of Morse Road and Chesford Road in Columbus.
The release states the suspect was taken into custody by Franklin County deputies and and taken to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was taken to the Riverside Methodist Hospital for treatment of “significant injuries.”
The incident is under investigation and detectives are preparing multiple search warrants, according to the release.
Chief Deputy Tom Morgan said he was unable to give any more information this morning, but that authorities are “very busy” working on the case.
