The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), DriveOhio, the City of Dublin, the City of Marysville, the Transportation Research Center (TRC) Inc., Union County and industry partners held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday at TRC to officially open the nation’s longest connected highway, the 33 Smart Mobility Corridor. The corridor is equipped with a high-capacity fiber optic network and state-of-the-art sensors. Shown above, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, director of InnovateOhio, speaks to those in attendance. Also offering remarks about the smart mobility innovations were Terry Emery, Marysville City Manager, Tim Hansley, Union County administrator, Dr. Jack Marchbanks, director of ODOT, JP Nauseef, president and CEO of JobsOhio, Howard Wood, executive director of DriveOhio, Brett Roubinek, president and CEO of TRC Inc., Sue Bai, chief engineer of Honda R&D Americas Inc., and Chris Amorose Groomes, mayor of the City of Dublin.
