A woman who escaped a vehicle while on furlough from jail has been caught.
Tiffany Hoffman, 29, of Marysville, fled from a vehicle, which was driven by a family member, while she was being transported back to Tri-County Regional Jail from a furlough at 2:26 p.m. Friday, in the area of Southard Road and Milford Avenue.
According to the Marysville Police Department, she has been found.
Hoffman was located in Pickaway County and taken into custody at around 2:26 a.m. Saturday. She was transported to the Pickaway County Jail, where she is being held on a failure to appear warrant from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
Hoffman was indicted for one count of possession of heroin in 2012 and was sentenced to five years of community control.
She has failed to report to her probation officer in the past, and has violated her community control requirements through drug use.
According to Union County court documents, she was ordered to remain at Tri-County Regional Jail until today, attend an appointment at Lower Lights Christian Health Center and reside at the Buckeye House “until further order.”
Because she “jumped out of her mother’s car,” an arrest order was made on her. She will remain in Tri-County Regional Jail until a community control hearing is scheduled.
