Union County Farmers Market will open Saturday at the pavilion in Partners Park for its 34th season.
The hours are 8:30-11:30 am. The market will run through Oct. 5.
The market will feature a wide array of products. Seasonal vegetable and fruits, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, vegetable plants, perennials, hanging baskets and homemade body products will be available. Products will change weekly as the season progresses.
The Kids Zone will have rotating community organizations sponsoring a crafts for children to create each week. OSU Extension will have a monthly Nutrition session in the Kids zone, also. Chef Kibby will appear monthly to share recipes. The Eat Local Food Fight will have four appearances.
Those using an EBT card can utilize the SNAP program. The Produce Perks program will match what the customer is spending in SNAP.
WIC will also be available in early July.
The market festival is scheduled for Aug. 10.
