The streets of Uptown Marysville will be lined tomorrow for the 39th annual FestiFair Arts and Crafts Festival.
The 2019 FestiFair Arts and Crafts Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow throughout Historic Uptown Marysville.
“FestiFair is kind of a legend,” said Amanda Morris, recreation and event manager for the City of Marysville. “It is a classic that everyone enjoys.”
Kim Hott, FestiFair Coordinator, said the event will feature more than 180 vendors.
“The event this year features 90% homemade products and about 50% of those are local to the Marysville/Union County area,” Hott said.
Homemade craft vendors will be offering a variety of items including, baskets, soaps, clothing, accessories, gluten-free goodies, mittens, jewelry and more. There will also be artisans offering jewelry, primitives, repurposed home décor and knick-knacks.
Visitors say the event is not just about finding unique gifts, but also engaging with the vendors about their work.
There will also be a variety of food vendors during the day.
New for this year’s FestiFair is a shuttle service intended to ease parking problems.
Free, off-site parking will be available at the Union County Fairgrounds. The free shuttle will run continuously to and from the Uptown area throughout the duration of the event, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hott said many of the Uptown businesses will be open through the day as well.
“Obviously, we have a (Ohio State University football) game and lot of those restaurants will have the game on if dad wants to come in and watch the game while mom shops,” Morris said.
“Your support of this event is actually support of the Uptown,” Hott said.
Officials say supporting the FestiFair extends to the holiday season, as Scarysville and the Marysville Uptown Christmas Walk are largely funded by FestiFair.
