A local man has been charged with allegedly attacking household members trying to keep him from getting behind the wheel.
Robert Pierce Jordan, 55, of 14343 Bellepointe Road, has been indicted by a grand jury, charged with one count each of felonious assault, domestic violence, assault and operating a vehicle under the influence.
According to court documents, at about 7:21 p.m., Feb. 17, the Union County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call from a woman at a home in the 17000 block of Miller Road in York Township.
Union County Prosecutor Dave Phillips said Jordan had been drinking and allegedly got his keys and tried to drive. Jordan’s fiancé and the caller “attempted to intervene.”
Jordan allegedly hit the caller three or four times in the chest, “causing her to careen into a wall.”
He also allegedly punched his fiancé multiple times causing her to lose consciousness for an unspecified amount of time.
According to court documents, the fiancé had a large, swollen, black eye and was bleeding from her nose and eye. She also lost two of her top front teeth. The caller had red marks on her chest and upper arm.
Phillips said that because of the loss of consciousness and the injuries, the victim “suffered serious physical harm.”
Jordan allegedly left the scene but was eventually arrested.
If convicted on all charges, Jordan could face more than 9 years in prison.
Also indicted was:
– George Lee Cook Jr., of 49, whose last known address is 851 W. Fifth St., is charged with failure to appear as required by recognizance. Court documents indicate Cook did not appear. Cook was arrested shortly after 4 p.m., Feb. 23. When Marysville police went to the scene to serve the warrant, Cook ran. Other officers responded to the scene to assist. Officers deployed their TASERs to end the chase. Cook was treated at the scene by Marysville EMS.

When police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver, Adams, allegedly tried to flee the scene but eventually crashed because the roads were slippery due to the weather. Adams was arrested. Through the investigation, police learned that the license plate was stolen out of Reynoldsburg but the car had been reported stolen out of Toledo.
If convicted, Adams could face as many as seven and a half years in prison.

Phillips said the woman believed Ghosh “was going to cause her harm.”
If convicted, Ghosh could face as many as 24 months in prison.
– Jordan Alan Snyder, 31, of Westerville. Snyder is charged with one count each of disrupting public services and aggravated menacing.
