The Swing Machine will perform on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Marysville High School as part of the Union County Concert series.
The 17-piece Swing Machine is a popular jazz band based in central Ohio. The band is made up of local professional musicians residing in the Columbus area. The band has performed at weddings, dance parties, class reunions, music festivals and New Year’s concerts.
The audience can expect to hear jazz band arrangements from the 30s and 40s from Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Jimmy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Glen Miller. The band performs from custom charts written specifically for The Swing Machine.
Two vocalists will be joining the band on Thursday evening. The vocalists that are coming with The Swing Machine also sing with other small bands in the central Ohio area.

This will be the last concert of 2017. The Dublin Silver Band will open the 2018 slate on Thursday, Feb. 22. Duo Baldo will perform on Friday, March 23, and Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes on Tuesday, April 10. All concerts are sponsored by the Union County Community Concerts Association and its sponsors.
