A Marysville man could be facing more than a decade and a half in prison after allegedly having sexual contact with two girls.
The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Lance A. Taylor, 48, of 19306 Boerger Road, Marysville, charging him with three counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of importuning.
Union County Prosecutor Dave Phillips said during September, Taylor had an 11-year-old girl “perform a sexual act on him.”
Phillips said Taylor, “had apparently done that before.”
The prosecutor said Taylor also touched another 11-year-old girl.
“Additionally, he solicited her to perform a sexual act on him,” Phillips said.
Both of the girls knew Taylor, the prosecutor said.
“In Ohio, any sexual activity with a child under the age of 13 is a crime and even soliciting sexual activity with a child under 13 is a crime,” Phillips said.
He said the state and his office take these crimes seriously because, “it is just so important that we are able to protect children.”
If convicted on all counts, Taylor could face as many as 16 and half years in prison.
Also indicted was:
– Dustin W. Riffle, 37, of 273 W. Bomford St., Richwood. Riffle is charged with one count each of domestic violence and unlawful restraint. According to court documents, on Sept. 14, Riffle took a phone from a woman at his home. The woman wanted to leave but Riffle allegedly wouldn’t let her. Additionally, Riffle, “drug (the woman) across the floor and hit her in multiple locations. Dustin then struck (the woman) in the face with his boot, causing serious physical harm to her jaw.”
A first count of domestic violence is typically charged as a misdemeanor. After a conviction, subsequent allegations are charged as felonies. Riffle was convicted of domestic violence in 2017.
If convicted, Riffle could face more than 18 months in prison.
– Mona Goodson, 20, who is an inmate at the Ohio Reformatory for Women. Goodson is charged with two counts of assault.
“This is our fourth case with Ms. Goodson,” Phillips said,
Goodson is currently serving a two-year prison sentence on assault and robbery convictions in Franklin County. She is set to be released in February.
Phillips said on Sept. 9, less than two weeks before she could have been eligible for judicial release, Goodson allegedly threw a cup at a prison nurse. When corrections officers approached her she allegedly began “hitting, kicking, spitting, pinching” the corrections officers, according to court documents. Court documents stated Goodson “slammed” a corrections officer into a wall.
She allegedly threatened violence against the corrections officers as well as their families.
“She bit herself and began smearing the blood,” Phillips said. He said she also smeared toilet water.
If convicted, Goodson could face an additional 10 years in prison.
– Keyona Glover, 33, of Parma. Glover is charged with one count of harassment with a bodily substance. According to court documents, on Sept. 18, Glover allegedly used a bodily fluid to “harass, annoy, threaten or alarm” a corrections officer. While no longer incarcerated, if convicted, Glover could be returned to prison for as many as 12 months. Additionally, she could be forced to serve any portion of her previous sentence that was commuted.
