A Marysville man experienced severe injuries following a motorcycle crash Tuesday night.
Cameron Landacre, 20, of Marysville is currently hospitalized after being found unconscious at the scene of the crash.
According to reports from the Marysville Division of Police, officers responded to Waldo Road at the U.S. 33 underpass at approximately 10:41 p.m. Tuesday.
Landacre was reportedly traveling northbound on Waldo Road on a 2009 Suzuki sport-bike motorcycle. As he approached the underpass, he lost control of the motorcycle, veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a concrete bridge abutment.
Witnesses observed the crash and called 911.
Landacre was injured and the motorcycle sustained “heavy damage,” according to MPD reports.
Landacre was found unconscious and transported to Memorial Hospital by the Marysville Division of Fire. He was later flown to OSU Wexner Medical Center with “severe injuries.” MPD reports indicated his condition is not currently known.
“While a helmet was found at the scene, it is not known at this time if Mr. Landacre was wearing the helmet at the time of the crash,” the statement from MPD read.
The crash is currently under investigation by MPD.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Union County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the crash investigation.
