According to Marysville Police Chief Tony Brooks, dispatchers received a report at 5:26 p.m. of an unresponsive 2-year-old girl in the pool area of the hotel.
Several additional calls of people in distress in the pool area quickly followed.
Brooks said six patients, all in critical condition, were transported to Memorial Hospital. Two patients in stable condition and another in critical condition were transported to Grady Memorial in Delaware.
