According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, the agency received a 911 call at 7:09 p.m. Monday reporting a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Middleburg Plain City Road, west of Streng Road in Union Township.
A preliminary investigation by UCSO indicated that a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu traveling eastbound on Middleburg Plain City Road attempted to turn in to a front yard at 19622 Middleburg Plain City Road.
The driver of the Chevrolet failed to yield to a 1995 Yamaha motorcycle that was traveling westbound on Middleburg Plain City Road. The vehicle struck the motorcycle head-on.

Reports from UCSO indicate alcohol, drugs and speed are not considered to be factors in the crash at this time. No other injuries were reported.
Deputies and units from the Union Township Fire Department, Marysville Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
Middleburg Plain City Road was closed for approximately four and half hours.
