The Aladdin Shrine Band will perform on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Marysville High School, sponsored by the Union County Concerts Association.
The purpose of the band is to support Shriner’s hospitals.
The Shriner’s hospitals are committed to the treatment for children with orthopedic problems and burn patients. The hospitals also treat cleft, lip deficiencies, spinal cord injuries and defects.
The Aladdin Shrine Band consists of local professional musicians residing in the central Ohio area. The band includes sax, trombone, trumpet, piano, drums and bass players.
It often performs for community groups throughout this area.
The concert association will continue its concert series on Thursday, Feb. 21 with “George Paree’s The Swing Machine Band,” followed by “The Dixie Ragtime Strutters Band” on Thursday, March 7, and “Sergei Teleshev Duet” on Friday, April 5. All the spring concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. at Bunsold Middle School.
