North Lewisburg Village Council met in special session Tuesday night to approve its next village administrator.
The board voted 5-0 to approve North Lewisburg Realtor Todd Freyhof to the position.
Freyhof was recommended for the post by a committee comprised of Mayor Cheryl Hollingsworth, council members Ted Murphy and Gwen Beech and former North Lewisburg Mayor Max Coates.
In January, 15-year village administrator Andy Yoder announced that he would be retiring in March. Yoder has worked for the village in some capacity for 32 years.
Six individuals announced interest in the position and were interviewed by he committee.
“Todd has been, as you’ve seen from his resume, a lifetime resident of the village and business owner,” Hollingsworth said of the appointment. “He has served on the board of Logan, Union, Champaign County Planning Committee (LUC), is familiar with budgets, zoning, administration and management.”
Freyhof is the operating broker and sole member of Champaign Realty Brokers of North Lewisburg. On his resume he lists his sales and management experience, excellent communication skills, ability to solve problems, attention to detail, ability to perform under pressure and master negotiating skills. He has taken courses in economics at Wright State University and lists 25 years of experience in agriculture, residential and commercial valuations.
As a member of the LUC, he works on subdivison review and assists with township zoning amendment decisions. He is also a member of the North Lewisburg Board of Zoning Appeals.
Freyhoff will be paid $50,000 per year.
