North Union Local School District Superintendent Richard Baird sent a letter to the community on Friday, stating that the COVID-19 information page on the education district’s website will be updated as cases are reported.
“This website includes a dashboard with the current and cumulative staff and student cases of COVID-19. This dashboard is updated as cases are reported. The date and building of the latest case will be indicated on the bottom of the page,” Baird wrote. “If you or your child is considered a contact, you will be informed by letter from the principal of the school of attendance with further instructions.”
Currently, North Union Elementary has two students who tested positive for COVID-19, North Union Tri-Rivers Career Center has one student who tested positive and North Union High School has had six students recently test positive, bringing its cumulative cases to seven.
Five North Union staff members have also contracted the virus recently.
North Union Middle School has reported one cumulative positive case, but there are no new cases as of Monday morning.
