Santa Claus and Leo Berbee, along with Leo’s grandfather, Mayor Henk Berbee, flipped the switch to light Marysville’s Christmas tree Monday as part of the city’s annual Uptown Christmas Walk. In addition to the tree lighting, the event offered jugglers, a small petting zoo, dancers, live music, crafts, carriage rides, carolers and visits with Santa in his house. Santa will be in his house to visit with children in the pavilion at Partners Park, 125 E. Sixth St. Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m. This Saturday, Santa’s house will be open until 4 p.m. The pavilion will also host the city’s Merry on Main iceless skating rink from Dec. 9 to Jan. 2. See page 8 for more photos from Monday’s Christmas Walk.
