The Union County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects following a break-in at Country Jack’s store and gas station in Broadway.
The business, which is located at 18992 Main Street, was broken into at approximately 1:30 a.m. Monday.
Lt. Jeff Stiers said two suspects were caught on the business’ surveillance cameras stealing cigarettes. He said he did not know the exact number, but the pair took “several cartons.”
No employees were in the business at the time, Stiers said. The Union County Sheriff’s Office was alerted of the breaking and entering by the business’ alarm system.
Stiers said, although the suspects were caught on camera, descriptions of the suspects such as possible age or height aren’t available based on the footage.
The suspects’ vehicle, which was also caught by the business’ surveillance system, is believed to be a green Dodge 1500 single cab truck with a cap on its bed.
“We don’t know a whole lot more than what’s in the release (from Sheriff’s Office),” Stiers said.
He asked local residents to “give us a call” if they can identify the suspects or their vehicle.
Those with additional information should contact Det. Bob Roberts at brobets@co.union.oh.us or by phone at (937) 645-4101 ext. 4321 or Stiers at jstiers@co.union.oh.us or by phone at (937) 645-4126.
The suspects’ vehicle was also caught on camera. It is believed to be a green Dodge 1500 single cab truck with a cap on its bed. The Union County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who can identify the suspects or the vehicle to contact them. (Photo submitted)
