STAUCH WEAVER
A pair of Union County elected officials have been appointed to statewide offices.
Union County Engineer Jeff Stauch and Auditor Andrea L. Weaver have been named as officeholders in their respective statewide organizations.
Stauch was named president of the County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO) for 2020.
Frederick T. Wachtel, Coshocton County engineer, was elected first vice president and Stark County Engineer Keith A. Bennett was elected second vice president,
Since 1940, the County Engineers Association of Ohio has worked to unify its members in their goal to provide the highest quality transportation, surveying, drainage and land record keeping services.
County engineers are responsible for the maintenance, repair and capital improvements of county highways, roads and bridges in Ohio. County engineers are responsible for 28,974 miles of urban and rural roadways and 26,105 bridges that are vital to the combined growth and prosperity here in the state of Ohio.
Weaver was installed as vice president of the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio (CAAO) for 2020 at their annual Winter Conference.
As CAAO vice president for 2020, Weaver will chair the CAAO Legislative Committee.
“2020 promises to be a year filled with challenges and opportunities, and I am honored and excited to continue with my service with the CAAO,” said Weaver.
Julie A. Adkins, Seneca County auditor, was installed as association president. Licking County Auditor Michael Smith was named second vice president.
The CAAO includes all 88 Ohio County Auditors and Fiscal Officers. It was established to promote and protect the interests of the taxpayers of Ohio and to improve the administration of county government. Among other activities, the association works with the Ohio General Assembly to offer legislative initiatives that assist County Auditors in carrying out their duties.
