Plain City’s annual Music in the Park series kicks off this weekend.
The third annual Bluegrass and BBQ event will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday in Pastime Park, 370 N. Chillicothe St.
The event will feature five bluegrass bands: Crossing Over, Lonesome Lost & Foggy, Echo Valley, State Route 33 and Bill Purk & the Muleskinner Band.
Barbecue will be served by Buckeye BBQ Express, along with food options from The Grainery and Miller’s Olde Fashioned Ice Cream.
This year marks the first time the event will also feature arts and crafts vendors.
Admission is free, as is the case for every Music in the Park event.
Music in the Park continues through Sept. 11 and features a variety of performers.
Musical acts included on the 2022 schedule include: Music Men & Jen Barbershop Quartet, Dublin Metro Brass, Counterpoint Acoustic Duo, Shrine Dixieland Band, Steve Bumgarner, Lower London Dixie Street Band, Emerald City Swing Orchestra, Shrine Concert Band, Jonathan Alder Symphonic Choir, Plain City Community Singers and Funky Waters.
