While Tuesday was Election Day, polling locations around Union County were closed. Signs, like this one posted at the Pleasant Valley Fire Station in Plain City, greeted voters who wanted to cast a ballot in person. Ohio’s Election Day, originally scheduled for March 17, was postponed hours before the polls were to open. At the time, Election Day was moved to June. 2. The state legislature then eliminated in-person voting and changed the voting deadline to April 28. Despite the confusion, local election officials said the day went well.
