Union County deputies responded to several vehicle break-ins Wednesday morning, though nothing was reported stolen.
According to Union County Sheriff’s Office reports, deputies received reports for six vehicle break-ins on McKitrick Road between 10:48 a.m. and 11:39 a.m. Chief Deputy Tom Morgan said it was obvious that someone had gone through the vehicles.
“I don’t believe anything was stolen,” Morgan said.
Morgan said at least one of the vehicles was unlocked.
At 3:51 p.m., deputies received a report of someone possibly breaking into more vehicles on McKitrick Road. When deputies arrived, they found Siraj A. Alhag-Ali, 21, of Dublin, and charged him with possession of marijuana.
Morgan said right now, officials do not believe Alhag-Ali is behind the vehicle break-ins.
Morgan said these break-ins seem like a one-off incident.
“This one was pretty isolated,” Morgan said.
