Marysville City Councilmember Tracy Richardson today announced her campaign for State Representative for the 86th District.
A West Point graduate and Bronze Star recipient, Richardson is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves.
She is in her seventh year serving as a city councilwoman for the City of Marysville.
“I love God, my family, my country and my community,” Richardson said. “I am committed to being a strong, conservative voice representing our community at the State House. We need to create more jobs in our communities, improve educational opportunities and fight the scourge of drugs. I will work on these and the issues important to our district because I care about the individuals and the families of those I represent.”
Richardson volunteers with the Union County Drug Free Coalition, Team Marysville and the Neighborhood Watch Safety Team. Richardson is also an active supporter of her local schools and is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where she cantors and helps at vacation Bible school.
She previously worked in human resources at a Fortune 500 company and as a leadership professor for ROTC at both Capital University and Ohio Wesleyan University.
She and her husband, Chris, are the parents of three sons. More information about her campaign can be found at TracyRichardsonForOhio.com
