According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, a transport vehicle spilled human waste on U.S. 42, near the U.S. 33 off ramp, at 6:49 a.m. today. The spill continued from U.S. 33 into Delaware County. Traffic was closed for cleanup from 6:59 a.m. to 8:02 a.m., as law officials waited for the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio EPA to arrive. Along with the deputies, units from the Jerome Township Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted at the scene.
