Police are investigating an incident in which shoplifters struck a Rural King employee on the elbow with the vehicle they were using to escape.
According to Marysville Deputy Chief Tony Brooks, two males shoplifted power tools from the Marysville Rural King at around 3 p.m. Friday.
Brooks said one of the males and a female driver fled the scene in a Grey Ford Escape as an employee chased them out of the store. The two struck a second employee in the elbow as they left the scene.
The other male was later found on foot near the store. He admitted to taking part in the theft, though he has not been charged yet.
The incident has been forwarded to the Marysville Police Department’s investigations division. Brooks said authorities believe they know who the other man and woman are, though they also have yet to be charged.
Brooks said the man and woman aren’t from Marysville.
