Plain City officials are asking those who live, work or visit the village to take a survey that will help improve connectivity in the area.
Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture is completing a connectivity study of Plain City as part of the graduate students’ coursework. The study is being completed at no cost to the village.
The “Plain City Multi-Modal Connectivity Plan” is available at www.plain-city.com/connect.
“We would like to understand more about the existing transportation conditions and future transportation opportunities that residents want to see so that we can formulate a plan that meets the needs of the community,” the survey notes.
The survey questions revolve around how respondents get around the village.
Those who participate in the survey can note if there are any areas in Plain City that they consider difficult to park at and if there are any areas they consider particularly dangerous or unsafe to access.
Questions also allow participants to detail any specific areas in or around Plain City where they experience frequent traffic congestion.
Survey questions go beyond just driving, as residents can comment on amenities like multi-use paths, bike lanes, sidewalks and crosswalks.
Ohio State’s City and Regional Planning program will be accepting responses until Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.
