Triad’s chief academic officer will soon shift into a new administrative position as the district’s treasurer.
The Triad Board of Education voted during a special meeting Monday to accept Morgan Fagnani’s resignation from her current position and hiring as assistant to the treasurer before she is hired as the district’s treasurer.
“It was Mrs. Fagnani’s positive approach to challenges, excellent communication skills and her ability to analyze data which allowed the board to award her the treasurer’s position,” Board President Chris Millice wrote in a statement.
Fagnani will continue to serve in her role as chief academic officer through the end of the school year, resigning on July 31.
She will serve as assistant to current Treasurer Connie Cohn from Aug. 1, until Cohn’s retirement becomes effective Dec. 31.
Fagnani will officially become the district’s treasurer on Jan. 1, 2023.
Millice wrote that enabling Fagnani to work closely with Cohn before her retirement “will ensure a smooth transition when she takes over.”
Fagnani has nine years of public education experience.
She received her Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University and has a Bachelor’s Plus, Master of Education and Doctor of Education from Ashland University.
The statement from Millice indicates Fagnani “realized her passion for the fiscal side of public education” during her recent studies to obtain her Superintendent License.
“We look forward to Mrs. Fagnani’s financial leadership and her strong communication skills to not only keep staff informed but the entire community updated on the district’s financial standing,” according to the statement from Millice.
