Union Rural Electric Cooperative and Buckeye Power are working together on the construction of solar panels at a URE substation located next to the Jerome Township Hall on Industrial Parkway. Each panel is expected to produce about 375 kilowatt-hours per year and while it isn’t much, officials said it gives consumers the ability to use locally generated, renewable energy.
