Most of Marysville experienced a short power outage Tuesday afternoon.
Mary Anne Kabel, director of corporate communications for DP&L, said the outage occurred for 93 seconds, and affected 9,300 customers at 12:33 p.m. in Marysville. She said the outage was due to DP&L employees working on a relay system at a Marysville substation.
She said an event like this doesn’t happen very often, and hardly affected the area.
“It was a very minute amount of time,” Kabel said. “It was like turning on and off a lightswitch.”
When asked if the outage was planned or an accident, she said it was a “momentary outage.”
