Alford E. Noland, 82, of Delaware died peacefully Wednesday evening Nov. 20, 2019 at Willow Brook Christian Village.
He was born Feb. 7, 1937 in Plain City.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during the Korean Conflict from 1956-58.
He was also a member of the Cornerstone Church of Christ in Christian Union, in Plain City.
He was a distributor for Standard Oil and continued to work for over 30 years, through the transitions to Sohio and BP.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pauline (Bradley) Noland and his brother, Bernard E. Noland, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janice (Blevins) Noland; children, Steve (Karen) Noland, Paula DeHaven, Susan (Steve) Belville; grandchildren, Jayson Daniels, Diane Gibson, Thomas Gase, Troy Gase and Trevor Gase; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Frieda (Riley) Maxey and Donna Maxwell.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25 at Cornerstone Church of Christ in Christian Union, 8280 Rickard Road, Plain City, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019 with Pastor Mark Barth officiating.
Burial will take place at Forest Grove Cemetery with Union County Honor Guard conducting full military service.
