CECIL R. DRUMMOND
Cecil R. Drummond, 65, of Marysville, died Friday morning, May 18, 2018, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center surrounded by his family.
A retired truck driver, he was employed with Woodruff Enterprises of Springfield. In his earlier years, he built race cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan throughout his life. His greatest passions were fishing, telling stories and being a “rocket surgeon.”
He was born May 6, 1953, in Columbus, to the late Cecil R. and Dorothy V. (Merritt) Drummond Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janet (Maddix); daughters, Leslie R. (Jason Koch) Drummond and Misty R. (Cory) Wedding, both of Richwood; grandchildren, Ashley (Braeden) Riley, Corbin Bunsold, Emerica Cremeans, Chase, Mason, Addison and Isabella Wedding; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Riley; and sister, Sherry Drummond of Pedro.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ingram Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Flag Spring Cemetery in Waterloo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with the unexpected expenses.
