Clair B. Owen, 100, of Talladega, Alabama and formerly of Milford Center, died Oct. 27, 2017.
He was a retired barber from Milford Center and a veteran in the U.S. Army. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed traveling and camping all over the country.
He was born in 1917 to the late John and Carrie Owen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Veneza Owen; sons, John Owen (Lorna) and Art Owen; and brothers, Wilford Owen, Howard Owen and Ben Owen.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. (John) McDonald; daughter-in-law, Deb Owen; grandchildren, Barb Miller (David), Betty Giles (Dean), Lora Owen (Bill), Jay W. McDonald and Matt Gold; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Greg Tankerlsy officiated funeral services on Oct. 30, 2017, at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel, in Alabama, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Talladega, Alabama. His pallbearers were Steven Nelson, Sam Mann, Tony Haywood, Mark Munnerlyn, Jay W. McDonald and Dave Gilliland.
