Connie Lee Parmer Stooksbury, age 82, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Born September 14, 1941 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Vaughn and Nellie Wallace Parmer, she was the last living child of six.
Connie was a 1959 graduate of Delaware Willis High School. She was a longtime member of Christian Assembly in Marysville, where she served as a secretary for the Christian Academy school.
Connie loved to sing. For many years, she sang in the church choir and with the Kindling Gospel Group throughout central Ohio.
She married the late James P. Stooksbury on August 24, 1963. He passed away on February 9, 1989. Their union produced two sons, Tracy James Stooksbury and Elwin Trent (Lisa) Stooksbury; grandchildren, Jimmy (Ashley) Stooksbury, Rachel Pheifer and Sarah Stooksbury; her great-grandchildren, Caden, Sadie and Alaina; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Connie felt so blessed to be a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Clara, Bettie, Wanda, Robert and Charles.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 at Underwood Funeral Home where viewing hours will begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Jim Gardner will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date.
