Dale Asman, 82, of Marysville, died Saturday evening, Sept. 1, 2018, at Brookdale Marysville, following a brief illness. He retired as a lab technician after 27 years of service with Westreco.
Following his retirement with Westreco, he was employed at McAuliffe’s Ace Hardware for 10 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Through the years, he was accomplished in woodworking and enjoyed putting puzzles together and framing them as pictures.
He was born July 13, 1936, in Marysville, to the late Alfred C. and Hilda Nicol Asman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Sharon L. Baker, whom he married Oct. 15, 1961, and who died March 21, 2002; brother, Don Asman; and sister, Jeanne Hennigh.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Charla Asman of Marysville, grandsons, Jeremy (Natasha) Asman and Zachary (Katie) Asman and great-grandchildren, Jaxton Witt, Emersyn Asman and Montana Asman.
The Rev. Kathy Reiff will officiate funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
