Dawn Coughenour, 102, died peacefully Monday, May 25, 2020.
She was born April 22, 1918 in Marysville to the late Lester and Marie (Hartshorn) Randall.
In her young adult life, she married Ted Coughenour of Milford Center. Together they raised three daughters, Kay, Carol and Connie.
She was a loving wife and mom. After the girls were raised, she assisted her husband in his dental practice until their retirement.
She was also a longtime member of the Kirkersville Methodist Church.
She led a very active life. She was an avid golfer, regularly partnering with her husband Ted and also playing in many women’s golf leagues. She also enjoyed the water and swimming and participated in weekly water aerobics until her mid-90s.
She looked forward to playing cards with family and friends and enjoyed traveling.
An avid Buckeyes fan, at the age of 96 she attended the OSU Football Championship Game in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Randall; sister Majean Randall Peck; husband, Ted; and daughter, Kay.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Dailey and Connie Coughenour; and nephew, William Coughenour.
A private memorial service was held on Sunday, June 28 in Columbus.
