Dee Ann Clark, 56, of Delaware, died peacefully early Monday morning, Sept. 7 at her sister’s home surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with cancer.
A caregiver to everyone, she was an STNA for over 30 years before bartending at the Flamingo. She was a big Trump fan who carried a huge love for all sports with the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as a Cleveland Indians fan. She recently became an avid dart player with her partner, Steve.
She was loyal to a fault, whether it was to her family, friends or job. She was dedicated to all of her family and was always the aunt everyone would come to with their problems. She was stubborn, sassy and ornery as well as brutally but lovingly honest and she had great compassion for everyone. She was also a great cook who loved to bribe her family with food.
She was born Dec. 7, 1963 in Marysville to the late Donald P. and Bonnie J. (Bright) Wallace Sr.
She is survived by her children, Amanda (Derek) Logan of Marion, Zachary Clark of Lima, and Jessica (Christopher Sloan) Clark of Delaware; grandchildren, Braylon Clark, Alexa Logan, Kyle Clark and Emma Dee Sloan; her longtime partner, Steve Kunze and his children, Jenny (Seth) Wood, Chris (Megan) Kunze, Kayla Humble and Sam Kunze, as well as Steve’s grandchildren, Addy, Trent, Isabelle, Miley, Zayne and Nora; siblings, Tina L. (Mark) Newport of Marysville, Paula (Pete) Cooper of Raymond, Don P. Wallace Jr. and Lori S. (Jim) Simpkins, both of Marysville; special aunt, Mary Ann Ralph; special family friend, Scott Vanda; and a host of many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Ingram Funeral Home where masks and social distancing will be required. The family requests that those in attendance feel free to wear their “Buckeye Gear” in honor of Dee and her love for the Buckeyes. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Whitaker officiating.
In her memory, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with unexpected expenses.
