Delores A. Woodworth, 78, of Milford Center died unexpectedly Monday morning at her residence.
She was retired after 33 years of service with Ranco in Plain City. Following her retirement from Ranco, she and her husband operated Woody’s Dairy Bar in Milford Center for 12 years.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose and an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan.
She loved the kitchen, cooking and baking, but, more so, will be remembered as a very loving, caring and giving person – especially to her family and grandchildren.
She enjoyed the outdoors, caring for her flower and vegetable gardens and taking care of the critters around her house, especially deer and hummingbirds.
She was born March 2, 1942 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Kennis and Bessie Selvage Fairchild. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Alvis Roberts, Alton, Paul and Robert Fairchild and a son in 2009, Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Woodworth.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles M. “Woody” Woodworth, whom she married March 24, 1962 in Monroe, Michigan; their children, Paul Anthony “Tony” Woodworth and Tina M. (Casey) Brooks, all of Milford Center; four grandchildren, Allyson, Amber and Aaron Brooks and Anthony Woodworth; sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Haney of Hager Hill, Kentucky and Gladys (Robert) Short and Irma Damron, both of Marysville; a sister-in-law, Nina Fairchild of Marysville; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health concerns, a gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be announced and held at a later date. Private graveside services will be held Monday at the Milford Center Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Humane Society in care of Ingram Funeral Home, who is completing arrangements.
