Dwight E. Connolly, 63, of Marysville, died after declining health Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at his home.
He was an employee for 18 years at the Honda Marysville Automotive Plant and retired after 11 years as a realtor. He was a longtime member of Marysville First United Methodist Church and the Black Wing Shooting Center in Delaware.
He will be remembered as an easy-going and big-hearted man who was known for his genuineness and kindness toward family and friends alike. He was well known for his big smile and for never knowing a stranger.
He was born Nov. 23, 1954, in Columbus, to the late Roscoe R. and Edith I. Buerger Connolly. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa S. Aluisio.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, the former Rachel M. Snook, whom he married June 30, 1990, at Marysville First United Methodist Church; grandchildren, Noah C. Baldwin and C.C. Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip F. and Sarah E. Connolly of Marysville and their children, John and Pam Connolly, Michael and Sarah Connolly and Kathy and Eric Rohrs; in-laws, Jean (Tom) Williams and their children, Tom (Libby), Ken, Bruce (Becky); Fred (Suzanne) Lockwood and their children, Cody and Isabel; Linda (Kit) Carson and their children, Katina, Mike and Michelle (David) Smith; John (Steve Malone) Lockwood; Sharon (Tim) Jones and their children, Jason and Missy Inskeep, and Ty and Kristi Inskeep; Sheila (Alan) Hites and their children, Taylor, Jodi and Jamie; Robert H. Snook Jr.; David (Amy) Snook and his children, Sarah, Eric and Drew; Julie (Angela Williams) Snook; Chris Clark and Greg Clark and their daughter, Minna; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ingram Funeral Home. The Rev. Aaron Brown will officiate funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Marysville First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
In his memory, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Blue Grass Fund in care of the funeral home.
