Evelyn Carol Sparks VonDach, age 78, of Marysville, died peacefully at home Tuesday, March 19, 2024 with her loving family by her side.
An extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her whole life was focused on her beloved family and dear friends.
Evelyn found great comfort in the presence of her canine companion, Loui. Gardening, bluegrass music and helping others were passions of hers. She was wholeheartedly a giving soul.
She will be especially remembered for her feisty, but loving demeanor.
She was born at home on November 16, 1945 in Martha Kentucky, Lawrence County, to the late Emory and Sally Fannin Sparks. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Paul Edward VonDach; her twin brother, Elmer “Buck” Sparks and her other siblings, Walter, Bill, Jim, George, Junior, Neva, Glenna, Maggie, Rinda, Geneva and Rissa.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Chris) Love, Tami (Jason) Conrad, DJ (Shannon) Adams and Rob (Shiela) Adams; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Brody, Danielle, Josh, Jessica, Shae, Ashton, Tori, Taylor and Maycen; several great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Delmas and Virginia Sparks; her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Sparks, Rosemary Sparks, Connie Jackson; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Underwood Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.underwoodfuneralhome.com.
